During my Christmas stay, I was impressed by the friendly and helpful staff. They provided excellent service, including storing my luggage and giving a detailed introduction to the hostel. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, with spacious showers that exceeded my expectations. the hostel's common area was a great place to relax, especially during the takoyaki nights. The location was also convenient, with easy access to public transportation and several convenient stores nearby.

There were a few drawbacks to my stay. the noise from the dorms could sometimes be bothersome, especially if you're on the top bunk.

I wanted to visit Hakata Port Tower very much, and that's why I chose Gate Hostel. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the hostel providing a terrace, a coffee shop/cafe, and laundry facilities. What I liked the most was enjoying a drink at the bar/lounge.

    Mindful of head crashing.

The rooms at The Gate Hostel are cozy and comfortable, with all the amenities you need for a good night's sleep. I felt right at home with the air conditioning and seating area.

Personally, I wasn't a fan of the shared bathrooms. But I understand that some people may still find them convenient.

I recently stayed at The Gate for one night and was pleasantly surprised by how nice everything was. The facilities were clean and modern, with comfortable beds and a well-equipped kitchen. The AC in the bedroom was a nice touch and it was very quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I loved the idea of the bracelet to connect with other guests. The subway station is just a short walk away and there are two Family Marts nearby. Highly recommended!

    I do recommend this hotel.

The Gate Hostel offers a convenient location near the Grand Sumo Tournament and within walking distance of yatai stalls and shopping streets. The dormitory has comfortable semi-double beds and a unique "secret base style" layout for a friendly atmosphere. The building is new and clean, with staff who are nice and helpful. The shared bathroom is well-maintained and has all the necessary amenities. The hostel also provides rubber bracelets to encourage socializing among guests, adding to the friendly atmosphere.

Felt right at home, nothing to complain about.

We were delighted with the convenient location of Gate, just a 10-minute walk from the underground station. It made our arrival and departure hassle-free. The cleanliness of the bedrooms and bathrooms was impressive, and the quilt and mattress provided utmost comfort. having bicycles available for rent was a great perk for exploring the area. Although there were a few minor inconveniences like a lack of hooks or shelves in the bed cubicles and limited ventilation in the girls' dorm, these were easily outweighed by the positive aspects of our stay. I highly recommend Gate for a pleasant and enjoyable experience in Fukuoka.

Convenience at its finest with a coffee shop and microwave! Located smack in the heart of Hakata-ku, this hostel is a haven for both business travelers and tourists. The multilingual staff, luggage storage, and laundry facilities just add to the perfection. Cultural highlights nearby!

Just loved the overpowering smell of used detergent on the comforter. Adds a special touch to the guest experience.

loved the AC in the bedroom, so nice to come back to a cool room after walking in hills. The staff is really helpful and the idea of the bracelet to meet other guests is great. Gate definitely exceeded my previous stay in Fukuoka.

Musty smell in one room, no window.

Super convenient location near the station, perfect for couples craving a cozy double bed at hostel prices. Impeccably clean facilities and a vibrant mixed-gender atmosphere. The shared top floor is an absolute gem, where we bonded with amazing fellow travelers over drinks and conversations in multiple languages thanks to Google Translate. Mind-blowing dorms for couples, 24/7 access to well-equipped kitchen and showers, and friendly staff. Quiet neighborhood, yet just a 15-minute stroll from all the jaw-dropping excitement. Unforgettable magic and unforgettable memories.
